Presenter: Charles W. Carlson

The presentation will highlight the top twenty components of the PPACA that have the greatest impact on those employers that employ an average of fifty or more fulltime employees. These components may have either a financial impact, an operation/administrative impact or both. A questionnaire regarding these components will be handed out during the dinner for review by the attendees prior to presentation. Mr. Carlson will go over each one of these components and assist our members with awareness and preparation to handle the requirements of the PPACA.

Presenter Bio:

Mr. Charles W. Carlson obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Auburn University and began his career in the insurance industry as a Senior Accounts Manager with Blue Cross Blue Shield. He then moved to the VP of Accounts Management for Wellpoint for six years and after that worked with CIGNA in a similar role. He is currently the Area Vice President of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. who provides insurance brokerage, risk management, and third-party claims settlement, and administration services to entities in the United States and abroad. He provides recommendations for plan design and funding, analyzes utilization data, develops cost projections, and also presents industry trends and provides guidance regarding Healthcare Reform. Mr. Carlson brings a well informed perspective to the requirements of the new healthcare law and serves as a health and welfare consultant for large employers and public entities.
