Our next Athens Area SHRM meeting will be on Tuesday November 13, 2012 at the Georgia Center. Networking will begin at 5:30pm followed by dinner and our presentation.

This month’s topic will be “Managing and Coaching Challenging Employees” presented by Alan Allard. Our presenter will cover such areas as defining “challenging employee”, how these individuals affect managers and teams, communication, coaching vs. managing these individuals and tools and strategies for coaching challenging employees.

Alan Allard is a former psychotherapist with 20+ years of combined experience in psychotherapy, organizational development consulting, corporate coaching, business coaching, life coaching and training and development. He has coached a broad spectrum of clients ranging from company presidents to physicians to firefighters and police officers. Alan is an author (“Mental Aikido”, “Seven Secrets to Happiness”) and a former writer for the Official World Poker Tour Magazine.
