Our Athens Area SHRM Chapter will be meeting Tuesday, May 10 , 2011 at the Georgia Center.  Networking will begin at 5:30pm followed by dinner and presentation.

Janet E. Hill will be speaking to our chapter on Hot Topics in Employment Litigation, covering the following areas:

I. Non-Competition Agreements

II. Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act 

III. Employment Issues Relating to Social Networking 

IV.New Developments in Employment Discrimination Litigation

Ms. Hill, is a 1982 graduate of UGA Law School and has focused on representing individuals in employment matters since that time, and also serves a mediator in employment related disputes. 

She served on the National Employment Lawyers Association’s Executive Board for 14 years and was President from 2004-2006. She is frequently consulted by the media on employment law issues, including outlets such as the Wall Street Journal; NPR’s weekly radio program Sound Money; U.S. News and World Report; Lawyers Weekly, LawCast, Lawyers USA, HR Magazine, published by the Society of Human Resource Management, and Chinese Language Newspapers, Sing Tao Daily, The China Press USA and World Journal.
