The Roles of Employee Feedback, and How to Do It Right

After years of organizational evolution, one element has emerged as the most consistent driver of organizational success: employee feedback, and for good reason. But surprisingly enough, for as much as we recognize its value, we’re really not very good at it.

In this program, BambooHR's Rusty Lindquist and Cornerstone OnDemand's Jeff Miller will deconstruct and demystify employee feedback. They’ll start with an economic perspective of its organizational value in today’s hyper-competitive environment, then journey through the role of feedback in top HR objectives like culture, performance, engagement, satisfaction and retention. The program concludes with real-world guidance on how to provide feedback effectively.

Key takeaways:

  • Learn how and why employee feedback is so critical.
  • Learn best practices on giving and getting feedback.
  • Learn how to use feedback to drive culture, performance, engagement and productivity.
  • Learn how to use feedback to become more strategic.

About the Presenters: Rusty Lindquist is vice president of HCM strategy and intellectual property at BambooHR. In that capacity, he studies the intersection of organizational behavior, talent management and HR strategy, all within the dynamics of small to medium-sized businesses. Prior to joining the BambooHR team, he spent three years leading product innovation in the learning and development industry, and 15 years running product in SAAS companies.

Jeff Miller is director of learning and development at Cornerstone OnDemand. His role is to design and deliver management and leadership training programs, coaching services, awesome learning events and just-in-time training programs. He believes investing in the people of a company is the single most important thing any company can do.
